• RSMU has moved up 223 positions in the subject ranking of Round University Ranking (RUR) and joined the Silver League. Experts rated the teaching quality at RSMU especially highly: according to this indicator RSMU is listed among the world top 300 universities in the “Teaching” ranking. At present, it is ranked 23rd among Russian universities.
• This year 869 universities from 74 countries of the world took part in the RUR-2021 ranking.
• Currently the ranking assesses the performance of several hundred top universities according to 20 indicators that measure four areas of university activity: teaching, research, international diversity and financial sustainability.
• It should be mentioned that the University’s entering the list of the world’s top 300 universities in leading global rankings and continuous improvement of indicators is recognized by experts as a prominent achievement, evidencing high quality of education and science, as well as a high status of its diploma.

Curricular Activity

• 9 faculties; 87 educational programs.
• 567 qualified lecturers including 40 professors, 89 associate professors, 259 PhDs.
• 16 academic buildings; 47 clinical departments supplied with modern medical equipment; Center for Simulation Training and Specialist Accreditation Training and Development Resource Center for Disabled People vivarium; 1166 modern health facilities (hospitals, clinics etc.) and pharmacies in Ryazan and all around the region.
• 6078 students: about 1000 of them are foreign students from 59 countries of the world; over 60 000 graduates who have successful careers in 130 countries of the world.

Medical Activity

• Medical activity is one of the main focus areas of the University that contributes to the practical healthcare of Ryazan City and Ryazan Region.
• Annually clinical department staff provides consultations to 40,000 patients, performs 30,000 operations and assists during 60,000 surgeries.
• The University has contributed to the practical healthcare with over 100 new diagnosis and treatment methods, over 30 reference books and over 150 researches.
• The University is accredited to do preclinical and clinical research of medical preparations and is included to the federal register of medical organizations able to test medical equipment.

Scientific Activity

• Centre for Practical Psychology; Central Scientific and Research Laboratory; Cell Laboratory.
• 16 scientific working groups which are well known in Russia and abroad.

Infrastructure

• 5 hostels, a library, a botanic garden, swimming-pool anda sports complex “Aquamed”; summer sports camp «Zdorov’e»; student canteen and cafes.

About Medical Faculty

• General Medicine Faculty is the oldest one in the University.
• The departments of the faculty are equipped with a wide range of diagnostic devices, e-textbooks for classwork and self-guided work etc. Students are taught using both traditional methods and modern technologies.
• Students of General Medicine Faculty successfully combine studies and extracurricular activity. One of their favorite events is “Faculty day” which is held annually. On that day students participate in art and sport events and meet interesting people.
• Graduates of the faculty make careers in Russia and abroad.
